02
Realtor Services
I prepare your listing for sale so it shows its best on day one. Typically your realtor will provide a pre-inspection of your property. This report is usually very thorough and can be alarming to the potential new owner. I can usually address a high percentage of these issues, resolving items and showing the inspector how each one was addressed and have the report republished with far fewer reported issues.
Dump & donation runs
Painting & drywall repairs
Lighting fixture refreshing
Faucet repairs
Pressure washing
Roof & gutter cleaning
Recaulking
Yard work
Rental upkeep, handled fast
03
Property Management
One thing that differentiates me, especially in the property management space, is I can usually address smaller jobs with urgency. Typically the requests from the tenant are urgent, and a quick response speaks highly on your relationship with them. Sometimes smaller, one off fixes, a lot of trades won't take on, or will wait until there are multiple jobs in the area to address. It's not so much "no job is too small", but rather understanding the importance of getting issues addressed in a timely fashion to keep the tenant satisfied.

The guy
A high “figure-it-out” factor, put to work on your house.
I'm Jon — retired from tech after 28 years, and I've spent my whole life with a high 'figure it out' factor. Now I help neighbors around Redmond with the common projects that pile up around the house, and because I keep it a one-person operation, I can charge much less than the big companies.
I've raised 3 boys at our house in Redmond with my wife of 30 years, and I spend my winters skiing and my summers on the lake. So whether it's minor repairs, replacement work, or a dump run, let me know what you need done and see if you've got a guy for that project.

Common questions
Good to know.
Straight answers on the areas I serve, licensing, and how a job works.
What areas do you serve?
Got a Guy Projects serves the core Seattle area, and all of the greater Eastside, including Redmond, Kirkland, Bellevue, Mercer Island, Sammamish, Issaquah, Woodinville, and Bothell.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Got a Guy Projects is licensed (#GOTGUGP758RK), bonded, and insured, so you're protected on every job.
What kinds of jobs do you take on?
I can handle most common repairs around the house, regardless if it's plumbing, electrical, carpentry, paint, etc. I'm always quick to admit if a job is beyond my skills, and have a lot of contacts in specialized trades to help resolve whatever issue you have.
How much do you charge?
Pricing depends on the job, but as a one-person local operation I'm able to charge much less than the big companies. Tell me what you need and I'll give you a straightforward quote.
How do I get a quote?

How is Got a Guy Projects different from a big handyman company?
It's a one-person operation run by a retired tech professional, so you deal directly with the person doing the work and pay far less than the big outfits. Careful, honest work on jobs big and small, plus a straight answer when something isn't worth doing.
Do you take on small or one-off jobs?
Yes. The small, urgent, one-off fixes many trades won't touch are exactly what I handle, from a leaky faucet or running toilet to a single light fixture or door lock. It's less about "no job too small" and more about getting things addressed quickly.
Can you fix items from my home inspection before I sell?
Yes. I prepare listings for sale by resolving a high percentage of pre-inspection report items, then show the inspector how each was addressed so the report can be republished with far fewer issues, helping your home show its best on day one.
How quickly can you respond?
Quotes are free and no-pressure, and I usually reply the same or next day. For tenant or time-sensitive repairs I move fast, since a quick response keeps tenants satisfied and stops small problems from becoming expensive ones.
Do you work with landlords and property managers?
Yes. I handle urgent, tenant-reported repairs with quick turnarounds, including the smaller one-off jobs other trades skip, like leaky faucets, garbage disposals, running toilets, door locks, and detector updates, to keep your tenants happy.
What experience do you have?
I'm retired after 28 years in tech and have been a Redmond homeowner for 30 years, with a lifelong "figure-it-out" factor. I'm licensed (#GOTGUGP758RK), bonded, and insured, and quick to bring in trusted specialists when a job calls for one.
Do you offer seasonal home maintenance?
Yes. My 6-month home tune-up is a seasonal once-over that keeps small problems from becoming expensive ones, covering filters, detectors, dryer vents, gutters, drains, caulking, pressure washing, and more.
